While in-person events at the Thompson Conference Center are currently not being scheduled, our experienced staff is supporting other departments and clients who are moving their events online.

Staff is generally working from home, so please excuse any delays in communication. We are developing social distancing guidelines for events in the fall. If you have a question about an upcoming event that you have already scheduled, please reach out to your coordinator.

Event Cancellations 

Events at the Thompson Conference Center are being canceled until further notice.

The Thompson Conference Center is currently operating with reduced on-site staff due to the rapidly evolving public health situation. Staff working remotely will respond to inquiries as quickly as possible. We will maintain direct contact with our clients as the situation unfolds and will respond to all inquiries as we are able.

As part of UT Austin, the Thompson Conference Center will follow any protocols established by the university and/or by the City of Austin. UT Austin has developed a webpage devoted to communicating timely information about the university's response to COVID-19, which includes FAQs and prevention and travel guidelines.

UT Austin has closed operations and canceled classes on Friday, March 13.

The past few weeks have been especially busy for everyone at The University of Texas at Austin. We’ve been evaluating options for continuing to enable learning and teaching amidst the spread of COVID-19, and we are now in the process of implementing those plans to ensure the health and safety of our learners, instructors, staff, and the broader community.
